Minutes – VHOA Board of Directors Meeting – October 14, 2005

Meeting adjourned at 7:45PM. Meeting time was 1 hours 15 minutes.

Order of Business:

 

     - Finance meeting – November 1^st 7:00PM

○       Tony will be getting five bids from new pool contractors and one from our pool contractor this past summer.

○       Location for the finance meeting will be Hunt Community Center. Joe will make the arrangements this week.

○       Dori is getting another bid on the entrance signs for the community.

○       The Board will be getting together the week of October 26^th to work on the presentation for this meeting.

 

- Pig Pickin’ – October 15^th 2:00PM - ?

○       Everything is ready for tomorrow’s party.

○       $487 for the moon bounce and slide

○       $150 for supplies

○       $75 for the cooker

○       $150 for the fixings

○       $100 for the cook

○       Electrical issues being worked for the compressors.

 

- Town Hall Meeting – October 15^th 3:00PM

○       Arnie will run this meeting and all the topics

○       We will announce that only one person has voted for the planned amendment and that we are requesting further input. We will direct people to the website.

○       Finance meeting

○       Thank Carlos for the pig and the social committee.

○       Make an announcement to have the community start thinking about running for next year’s Board for the January meeting.

    

     - HOA Legal Information session

○       Laura has been authorized to attend this meeting at the RTP location and the costs will be covered for her to attend this meeting, travel, and sitter costs.

 

- Sponsorship of the Website

○       The Board has elected not to seek sponsorship of the website at this time since the cost of the website is so low.

○       If someone in the community wishes to seek sponsorship of the website, let the Board know.

 

- Wetland committee

○       Dori has gotten information together for the wetlands and the greenways from the Town of Holly Springs.

○       A package was made for each member of the community who volunteered for this committee.

○       The volunteers need to contact Dori to schedule their first meeting for this committee.

 

- Grounds committee

○       Dori has obtained information on the easements for the entrance signs and there is some conflict of the easement at 512 Blooming Meadow Road.

○       The committee hasn’t met and we have several issues that need to be worked including altering the grounds that the Lawn Contractor will be responsible for and hiring an exterminator.

 

- The next Town Hall Meeting will be Saturday, October 15, 3:00PM during the pig pickin’.
