Minutes – VHOA Board of Directors Meeting – May 12, 2006

Order of Business:

 

1.              Pool Access – The pool opens 5/13.  Arnie has deactivated access cards for all homeowners who owe $165.00 or more in homeowners dues.

2.              Liens/Certified Letters – It was agreed to request CPA to send Certified Letters to all homeowners owing $165.00 or more (12 as of 5/8) and place liens on all homeowners who have previously received letters but still have not paid (3 homeowners as of 5/8).  Note – since the meeting, one of the three homeowners to be liened has paid their bill in full.

3.              Entrance Sign – Due to lack of information provided to us by departing board member, we are starting from scratch on the entrance sign.  Paul will take the lead.  Arnie to send him plat showing sign easement

4.              Newsletter – Todd to take the lead securing contract with newsletter company

5.              Socials – Arnie to contact Social Committee regarding summer social and other potential social events.

6.              Vacant Board Seat – No volunteers at the THM or since.  We are forced to run with one vacant seat at this time.  We will continue to try to solicit a volunteer.

7.              CPA Contract – Arnie to contact CPA and begin work on securing contract.

8.              Landscaping – Board agreed to not utilize Trugreen’s watering program for the flowers.  It would have been $300/week, which was considered excessive.

9.              Fire Ants at Pool/Playground – Arnie to contact CPA and ask them to hire an exterminator.

10.         Website – Website is back on-line.

11.         CD – Arnie to contact Tony (2005 board) about status of CD.  Board agreed to reinvest the money in a new CD once this one matures.
