Discussion
|
Board is reviewing all contracts and bills paid out on an
annual basis to see if we can cut costs anywhere. Caroline Curran will
request copies of all bank statements, phone bills, and contracts from
Carolina Property Associates.

Conclusions
|
Board has decided to meet again prior to the annual
meeting to review all of these items. Stefanie will provide a breakdown of
the new budget.

Topic POOL ISSUES & Budget ITems

Discussion
|
The Board discussed the pool area and decided to add into
the budget the necessary items needed to maintain and fix the pool area.
i.e. Slippery area near the shallow end of the pool, the concrete lip
cracking at the edge of the pool, tile cleaning & one new set of table
& chairs.

Conclusions
|
After reviewing the estimates for the repair of the pool
the board will add to the budget and schedule the repairs for spring prior to
the opening of the pool, so that the area will not be disrupted during the
season.

Discussion
|
Dan is currently reviewing the file of proposals given to
the board by a previous board member and was working on obtaining updated
quotes as some of them were quite old. Stefanie is going to do some Beaver
research to see if we can replace some of the trees with ones that the
Beavers would not eat or put sleeves over current trees.

Conclusions
|
The Board would like to add to the 2009 budget the initial
cost for engineering of the dam area, and schedule the work to be done in the
spring of 2009. Upon the receipt of this report and cost schematic a formal
meeting will be held for the community to review. The initial costs for this
engineering report are approximately 2,000-3,000. For the present time the
board has decided to not pursue “removing” the beavers as they will come back
. We are looking into alternative ways to combat the problem.

Discussion
|
The board will have the annual board meeting date no later
than the last Tuesday of January 2009. We as a board would like to review
and come fully prepared in front of the community with all of the issues
addressed and having proposed solutions.

Conclusions
|
Once the board meeting is scheduled it will be held at the
Hunt Center. Sandwich boards will be posted at the entrances of the
community, notice will go out by mail along with a current budget, and the
date will be posted on the website.
