Discussion
|
It was agreed that the board would speak with the
landscaping company to have some fall clean up done on the bushes located at
the playground. Per the neighborhood watch meeting the bushes are to full
and restrict views from the street. The bushes at the back side of the pool
also need to be trimmed and the area needed to be weeded. The bushes located
at the end of the playground/pool parking lot need trimming. The storm water
drain was piled with branches and debris left from the storm and needed to be
cleared. Other items may be added to the clean up list after a drive through
the neighborhood.

Conclusions
|
Once a drive through of the neighborhood was completed a
final list will be given to the landscaping company of fall clean up items we
would like done.

Topic Neighborhood Watch & Signs

Discussion
|
Fred Rose will coordinate with Lt. Revels to get pricing
on the signs and installation of the neighborhood watch signs. The board
agreed that we should start with 4 signs (1 at each entrance and one near the
pool/playground area) The board will get pricing on a separate “No
Trespassing after Dark” sign for the playground as well as a “Children at
Play” sign for near the playground to help alert speeding traffic.

Conclusions
|
Upon reviewing the pricing the board will proceed with the
most economical signs.

Topic Valley Field Website
|

Discussion
|
Caroline Curran will take over the coordination of the
Valleyfield Website changes. Changes that we discussed are: a section for
Dam updates to include the letter from The Town of Holly Springs, Meeting
notes from Sharon’s meeting with the town and the bid proposals from the
respective companies. We will also add a section for the Neighborhood
watch program with inquiries going to the board emails as well as Fred Rose.
The fall festival will also be posted on the website.

Conclusions
|
Items for the Dam section will be posted for review of the
community prior to the town hall meeting to allow people to come educated
about the situation prior to the meeting. Neighborhood watch inquiries will
go to Fred Rose. Fall festival information will be posted.

Topic DAM ISSUE aND TOWN HALL MEETING

Discussion
|
Caroline Curran will contact two more contractors to
obtain bids for the repair/replacement of the Dam. We will post our current
information on the situation on the Vallefield Website to start to educate
the community about the issue.

Conclusions
|
Website will be updated to reflect current information
regarding the Dam. An agenda will be followed during the meeting to keep
order. This agenda will be posted on the website so that people will know
what to expect before attending.

Topic wetLands Committee/Dam
|

Discussion
|
A wetlands committee will be formed with the interested
people that have contacted the board. A meeting will be set up within the
next one to two weeks to get this started.

Conclusions
|
Jen Schindler will contact via email the people interested
and set up the meeting to get them together and go over the documentation
that we have available for the Dam issue. She will let the board know when
they are going to meet. One board member should be present at their first
meeting. From there they can report back to the HOA any updates that they
have.

Topic FaLl Festival

Discussion
|
We discussed a fall festival to take place the weekend of
October 18th. The idea being more tailored to FALL with events to
include. Partial Pot Luck (sides), Hot dog stand, Pie baking contest, soda,
water & juice. ACTIVITIES: Bubbles, Side Walk Chalk, McGruff the Crime
Dog, Fire Truck from Town of Holly Springs, Kids Costume parade, Piñatas (3
with 3 different age ranges) Hay Bails and Pumpkins, Craft Table, scavenger
hunt.

Conclusions
|
A flyer will be made up and distributed by hand to the
neighborhood. Caroline will make up the flyer and have it printed at Kinkos.
Contact Lt. Revels about McGruff and the fire truck. Caroline will get
prices for hot dog stands.
