Valleyfield Homeowners Association Meeting

July 11, 2007 7:00 p.m. at Bass Lake Ale House

                        Meeting adjourned 9:15 p.m.

Attendees:  President, Dori Barnard, VP, Theresa Lewis, VP, Susan Kirk, Secretary, Amy Blosser

Order of Business:  Review of last meeting minutes.  Minutes were approved.

Updates from Dori:  Dori has met with Naomi Lamunion on our wetlands committee she has informed us that we would need to design and run a hec-hms Model to see if our damn could be breeched.  The damn is currently broken and the first step to clean up this area is to breech or fix the damn.  Naomi is willing to speak at the Community Meeting to inform residents of what needs to be done to improve this area.  We will have to consider 3 different bids for this project and the board plans to solicit other agencies, engineers, etc.  so that our homeowner’s have a variety of options.

The Valleyfield sign is complete however there are a few changes we are requesting to the landscaping.  We are pending making payment until this has been corrected.  Pool signs are complete and mounted at the pool.

Yard of the month program is underway we are going to purchase $20 gift cards from Home Depot for winners.

New keys need to be purchased for the pool.  Sharon is to purchase.  We are also charging $5.00 for lost keys to applicable homeowners.

Hunt Center will be reserved for town hall meeting.  Approximate 50 chairs needed.

Website advertisements are tabled but we would like to revisit this at a later date.

We want to begin planning for the Mizelle Meadow/Stinson Street entrance.  Zoning and Right of way need to be determined.  Planning for sign easement must be researched.  Also we would like Crepe Myrtle trees planted along this entrance in the fall season.

Theresa Lewis’ news…The newsletter was reviewed.  This will be completed as soon as possible (late July) and distributed by hand to the community.

Theresa plans to have another social at her home this fall; the date is TBA.  Paint your mail box program is to be initiated by Theresa.

Susan Kirk has begun design on a welcome packet.  She would like to have pictures to accompany this information.  We will include pool rules, pool receipt form, and information for publishing contact information in a directory.  Welcome wagon information, current events, covenants and restrictions also to be included.  Susan is going to design a yard of the month sign to present to the winner of the contest.

CPA is going to sponsor the Valleyfield softball team.  Games are Monday and Wednesday and Susan Kirk and Sue Ellen Tees are finalizing registration for our team.

Homeowner Andrew Stafford has asked that we query our landscapers about grinding the stump on Morton Farm Road that is next to his property.  This was apparently already discussed however the stump has still not been removed.

Amy Blosser advised the board of the following website updates:  new pool key form, pool rules, and recent minutes.  The newsletter will be put on the website once it is completed by Theresa.

No Parking signs have been requested by homeowners that live near the pool.  Planning department advised us to speak with the police department.  Amy spoke with the police department, since this is private property we can place signs where we like to help with traffic and congestion in this area.  We will further consider whether to put signs or paint a no parking area in front of the pool. Also stop sign at Morton Farm and Blooming Meadow needs to be replaced.  Amy will contact necessary parties for replacement.

Financials will be requested from Sharon Willis at CPA.  Sharon is aware of our meeting schedule and will plan to attend and discuss budget items.
